Bench

You use the Bench tab to define the path that the trucks travel, and the speed at which they travel, on the benches. You use the Select Bench Collections icon of the Segments data grid to define the collections of segments that represent the bench geometry. You use the Velocities data grid to define the speed at which the trucks travel.

When you click the Select Bench Collections icon, the Select Bench Collections form appears.

Fields on the Select Bench Collections Form

Column Description
Active The bench collection is associated with the bench haulage path.
Name

The name of the bench collection.

Note: You create and name bench haulage collections in the Geometry tab.

Full velocity

The velocity on the benches when trucks are full. You can assign or overwrite a value for the velocity on all lines of the bench collection.

Note: If the text (Multiple values) is written to this field, more than one velocity value is assigned to the lines that make up the bench haulage collection. If you want to change the velocity for all lines, you can overwrite the existing values by selecting the Clear velocities icon (X) and typing the new value.

Empty velocity

The velocity on the benches when trucks are empty.

Columns in the Segments Data Grid

Column Description
Segment name

The name of the collection of bench haulage segments.

Note: If you expand a collection, the names of each segment within the collection are displayed.

Length

The length of the bench haulage segments.

Columns in the Velocities Data Grid

You can define a change in velocity at any point on any bench haulage path.

Column Description
Point The point number and coordinates of the point in the segment.
Full Velocity

The velocity that trucks can travel after this point on the segment when they are loaded.

Note: This velocity will remain effective until a change in velocity is defined, or until the end of the segment.

Empty Velocity

The velocity that trucks can travel after this point on the segment when they are not loaded.

Note: This velocity will remain effective until a change in velocity is defined, or until the end of the segment.
